amore sacro e profano ( chiamato anche venere e la sposa ) è un dipinto ad olio di tiziano , dipinto intorno 1513–1514 . il dipinto è stato commissionato da niccolò aurelio , un segretario del consiglio veneziano dei dieci ( così identificato perché il suo stemma appare sul sarcofago o fontana al centro dell'immagine ) per celebrare il suo matrimonio con una giovane vedova , laura bagarotto . Presumibilmente raffigura la sposa vestita di bianco , seduto accanto a cupido e assistito da venere di persona .
